DOn't change. Honestly, if you do try and change and a girl falls in love with what you've become then she hasn't fallen in love with the real you and you would need to keep that act up for the rest of your life.

What if I can't tell the difference anymore and just trying to sort myself out pulls out things I don't want to be?

You can only ever work to improve yourself. If you want to make changes to yourself they need to be for yourself, not for some girl who may or may not like you anyway.
