3rd person view option for combat
If it's not possible for pvp, an option to switch 1st/3rd viewpoint in combat while solo or grouping would be awesome.

If they gave us the option to play in 3rd person view, no one would play Destiny in 1st person view ever again. 3rd person view becomes "easy mode". It gives you the ability to keep an eye on everything around you. You can also use the camera to kinda "cheat" and safely look around corners while avoiding enemy fire.
