I haven't tried this yet but I will start soon for those who are suspicious and would like to hear results from someone. I will post updates when I get one.
Here's something that's been gaining a fair amount of ground lately and maybe you've caught wind of it.
Loot Box is a monthly subscription to a box of random surprises that are mailed to you each month. There are themes every cycle that will determine what you get.
It sounds really fun and interesting. If you enjoy receiving mail it's like Christmas every month.
Also check out Skoshbox a subscription for Japanese candy every month just like Loot Crate.
I'm on mobile or I would link. Check them out on Facebook or just google

Dat xbox walker on that shirt. Not sure if funny or oddly annoying.

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much Smi! I was just wondering what I should get my girlfriend but this sound like something she would love. ^_^

Seems cool, but I have enough nick nacks lying around or shoved in boxes. I'll just buy them at conventions like I normally do.
-
They do look nifty, but it's money that I don't have <.<
-
Huh, might be good for lazy birthday present givers

Edited by Jaaake AU: 7/18/2014 7:20:46 PMWhat do you even get? I understand there are themes that will change but just generally. When you start yours you should tell me. I'm curious but a little ahh... just not entirely convinced that it would be worth it :3

Too bad I live in Europe then. I don't has dollars or a bank account to convert euros to dollars. It seems like most fun gaming related stuff happens in America. The only thing I really know that we have here is Gamescom and some other minor conventions. I went to First Look once. I liked it. Wish we had more here.

I've got lootcrate, new one is coming in a few days. It's pretty tight, random stuff to put on my desk or in the apt. If I don't like it, it's a gift for someone who does!
-
I'm definitely gonna do the Skoshbox.
-
I got an Ice King from adventure time, and a black Doctor Whooves pony toy. Someone gave me their loot crate because they didn't want it.
-
I've been a member since January and plan to remain subscribed. I love it! I'm determined to win the mega crate.
-
Seems like you'd end up with a lot of stuff without knowing where to put all of it.
-
Thnx for this. I'm in Radio. This will work GREAT on my show :-)
-
Sounds cool I'd try it if they operated in the UK. Plus that Dhalism toy or whatever it is looks super cool :3

My brother in law is subscribed to this and has been for some months. I've seen two crates already the time I've gone there. Got Titanfall stuff, Attack on Titan comics and a bunch of other shit. He's really into all that so it's a great deal for him but it's not my thing.

I subscribed for 4 months. The t-shirts are pretty cool when they come out (got a sweet titanfall one and an even sweeter Link one) as well as the vinyl figs. But there's a lot of bloat and useless junk you get as well. I've gotten an MLG sweat band for your wrist as well as a titanfall one. Some really dumb stickers, and other lootcrate special made items suck as well. I can try to take a pic of some of the stuff when I get an opportunity. Overall if you do the long subscription it's worth $13 a month, but not really $20 a month for the month to month.
