Are people completely unavaible to actually analyse and try value how much of the information you receive on the web is true.
Take forum trolls for an example. Sometimes when I surf around on a forum like Bungie.net I see a troll post, that obiviously is a troll post and I see atleast 50-70% of the comments in the thread who actually doesn't notice it's a troll post.
Another thing is when my friends are surfing the web and notice an "science" article saying things like: cancer cured, do like this etc. and they send the link immediately to me saying: "OMG this is awesome, you gotta check this out!". Like.. Seriously.. Faith in humanity lost.

I always look for confirmation from multiple sources, preferably ones with opposing biases

If 1 source in the whole wide world would say that global warming is a thing, and the rest would say it's phony, would you care for the other sources? Probably yes, but my point is that sources aren't reliable, but you might as well go ahead and trust a sciency site's information, because at no points should you believe something to 100% as things change very often. When saying "things", I'm refering to information.
