Hi Bungie,
Firstly Destiny is amazing. It has all the things that I look for in a game and when I'm with a Fireteam of friends the experience only gets better. Congratulations maybe early but well deserved!
Now to my idea....
Each player ability is very clear and easy to know when it is available. The warlock's lobbed energy blast is terrific for taking enemies out who might be hiding behind an obstacle, the titan's ground smash is perfect for clearing entry ways but the Hunter's golden gun is direct and slightly off putting. Most notable is the range difference. Titan's have to be right on top of another player and hunter's within a few yards. The hunter gold gun shots have taken me out from the opposite side of the moon. I've also walked into a control point with a hunter eagerly waiting to fire off his three shots wiping out myself and defending teammates.
My point is that the pistol is three back to back shots that give the hunter an unfair advantage. Should the hunter miss he still has 2 additional shots. My idea to consider is for the hunter to have to reload after each shot. Something along the lines of a quick draw back like older style magnums or wild west style. This would give other players a chance to defend themselves from hunters attack. Now should the hunter die after only firing 1 shot he should respawn with a 2/3 full bar allowing the hunter to have 2 additional shots.
The details can be worked out by the greats at Bungie but I think this is a way to even the playing field when you come against a golden glowing hunter.
Let me know your thoughts please!
(P.S. not trying to rant or offend the designers in anyway just an opinion.)
