Biggest Problems Dad Gamers Deal With?
So share what you think is the biggest issue dad gamers have that others don't. I'm eager to hear what you guys are dealing with.

My biggest problem is having time, or playing at odd hours. I may get to play late in the evening to early morning or on occasion during the day if I have free time.

1 ReplyI have more of a problem with interruptions, until the kiddos are asleep. When its bedtime in our house, I usually have to fight with my 2 year old to keep her in her bed. Eventually (between 30min to 1hr), they will both be asleep.

Edited by theta orionis: 9/17/2014 6:11:27 AMMy kids are a bit older and, as such, I face some different problems. I have a teenaged daughter who used to regularly school me in Halo. If that isn't bad enough I have game discs that seem to evaporate and mysteriously reappear in her Xbox 360 console. (I gave up looking for my COD/BLACK OPS II😣) No complaints, though. She's a good kid and never gets in trouble so it's all good. (I did download Destiny digitally; just in case😉)

My biggest issue is energy! I have a two year old and a wife with the ever expanding chore list... Lame! Sadly I play for like 30ish minutes at a time. Every now and then I'll get an hour and a half! I'm also a teacher, and this year has been a real bear for me...

I have a 7 month old. The interruptions are so constant and I have to avoid annoying the wife so I end up playing very little until 8:30 when they go to bed. It's fair enough I guess but at a games release month I just wanna play. Destiny is so mild in violence I don't think I mind kids watching. I grew up with video games and I'm desensitized to the game violence but violence in the real world still freaks me out. I turned out normal without murderous tendancies like the media would like to make you think so I think the kids are fine to watch destiny at least. It's all about moderation I think

I know personally I have to deal with all 3. I'm about ready to buy her her own Xbox, so I can have more time to play mine.

1 ReplyDefinitely trying to keep some sort of routine playtime. Between my two year old wanting to take my controller and show me how it's done to her needing some Daughter and daddy time it's damn near impossible. But once she finally is down for her afternoon nap or out for the night It is time for this Daddy to do some serious damage to whatever game I'm into at the moment.
