So, I'm playing Destiny as a Warlock and I noticed that some of my gear had very 'anti-hunter' descriptions. One said something along the lines of Hunters not being able to shoot straight and other said Warlocks will never 'cede their position' to the Hunters. Anyone know why there's bad blood between the two, or if there's tension between all the classes, or did I just pick a class that happens to be really pissy?
EDIT: So there is some tension between each of the classes. The shit talk mainly goes on between the Warlocks and Huntards. The Huntards and Titans also have a few jabs at each other. Titans and Warlocks seem to get along.
Edit 2: Hunters*
Edit 3: Holy shit, nearly 1500 replies now. This post was from the Beta in July and it just picked up a lot more steam.

A long time ago the leader of the Hunters was givin the D to the leader of the Warlocks. He left her for a Titan chick who had a bigger butt. Then she got angry and swore that the Warlocks and Hunters could never be friends again.

All the classes show off, but Warlocks and Hunters like to show off to each other a lot. They all like to toss around the jokes and make fun of each other. Hunters seem to be the most arrogant though. Hunters call the Titans slow, Titans call the Hunters shrimpy and cowardly, Warlocks call Titans dumb walking targets, Titans call Warlocks scrawny nerds, Hunters call the Warlocks lame, and Warlocks say everyone is jealous of their talent and intelligence. I wish their was a class in the middle so I didn't have to hear (some but not all of them) them being immature little shits.

I'm a warlock and I respect everyone.

Because GOLDEN PENIS!!!

I think it goes back to the Golden Age. Ask the speaker, he might tell you. Or not.

BECAUSE THEY CAN'T HANDLE THE SPACE MAGIC......
JK, love them more than Titans
I shall try to break down the mindset of each of the classes. Titans Titans are the wall in which the Darkness breaks, the might that shatters the bones of our enemies. They are in charge of defensing the city outright, they man the walls, and keep the outside threats at bay. When they are not either manning their positions, they are either maintaining their weapons and fortifications or running War Game simulations (i.e. the crucible.) Commander Zavala doesn't.send his Titans out into the field unless something needs to get done. Titans "get along" with the other two classes, but also feel that their job is the most important in terms of survivability of the Human race. To Titans, Hunters are the eyes amd ears for movements and strengthes of the enemies outside the wall, although respected for the sense of intelligence, Titans frown upon how Hunters tend to hide from the enemies, using their cloaking and distance. Warlocks are respected for the tools, weapons, and other advancements they develop, Titans still do not like the sense of entitlement the Warlocks tend to carry with them. Hunters Hunters live and breath everything outside of the wall. The sense of adventure, the wonders of the wilderness. These individuals tend to work alone, or in small packs, and play the roll of the eyes and ears of the city. Sent out to track the enemy, find his weakness, or spots of interests for the Warlocks. In the eyes of Hunters, Titans are large, loud, and clumsy, but man can they cause damage. Warlocks, taught and gifted the Hunters with many abilities such as the blink step, and cloaking abilities. Although, they are too full of pride and don't understand the beauty of silence. Warlocks Warlocks are the minds of the city, recovering old world tech to hopefully give it a new use in the aid of the Cities on going struggle for survival. More interested in archaic ruins, and their research over all. Titans, typically dispatched with a Warlock recovery party to provide an escort of the precious cargo to be found. Titans however quickly grow bored of the delicate with to be done, and are prone to careless acts that might make all of your work for naught. Hunters are sent out to get an eyes on view of possible locations of interest, their carelessness, and smug altitudes can drive you up a metaphorical wall at times.

People let grimore actually effect their look on other classes and players
-
Probably because we prefer to be left alone - (Most) Hunters
-
You should read the warlock card. Explains everything.
-
Warlocks dislike Hunters for their pompous and arrogant attitude. Warlocks and Titans get along because Warlocks are intimidated by Titans and generally Warlocks think Titans are a bit stupid. Warlocks know that Hunters aren't stupid, they just dislike the way they carry themselves as high and mighty.
-
If I remember rightly there's a Hunter boot armor with a description that states "The Warlocks taught us how to glide, but we never admit that. - From 'Mannerisms to Anger Warlocks'" So yeah, there's definitely some in-fighting there if the Hunters have a whole book on Warlock insults.
-
Probably because they made their own hunter last... or at least that's what I've been told. It all has to do with the jump I guess, they get used to the glide (which the titan jump isn't too far off.. although it's by far the best jump in the game), then when they finally come around to making a hunter they can't get used to the timing of double or triple jump.
actually I have no idea, but this is what I've been told when I asked some clan mates.
Because of differences. If there is one thing we learn from all of history, it's that people can't handle differences.

Because we are better at blinking than them.
-
It's all in good fun. Guardians need each other.

I like hunters, I'm probably gonna make one. But I hate people who use hunters. I hate raiding with hunters because they think they are the only ones that can do the sword.
-
Because hunters spread rumors about how they floof about, and deny that they taught them to teleport. And because hunters literally have a handbook titled, "Aphorisms to anger Warlocks: A Hunter Handbook".

Edited by HatedWarrior: 3/15/2015 4:48:45 AMI started as a warlock and have all 3 classes but like the hunter the most because I actually prefer the double jump and like quicker movements. Throwing knives are really fun too especially if you have Monte Carlo.
-
It's just cause the Golden Gun is op xD
-
Its because they wont stop floofing around
-
Its actually pretty funny how the games own "class warfare" transferred into so many gamers such they they continue their class warfare outside of the game. That being said as a hunter I tend to way outkill my allies by a pretty large margin. I also tend to die less and revive people the most. My class abilities may not be able to "assist" my teammates to make them stronger/tougher/better. But honestly do I really need an ability that does this when I can generally kill most enemy swarms before they cause my teammates any problems?
-
Anyone else play all 3 classes without discrimination?
-
that's fair but still if hunters dont are gonna rag on warlocks think about the fact that you guys kinda look like butterflies with full raid gear on
-
Hunters = Glide Warlocks = Floofing About
