Think I came across my first Destiny bug today.
It was this Public Event of a Reaver Captain that was doing a route and we were supposed to kill him. He was a level 5 and I was a Level 7 Titan with 2 other people (at least) shooting him and he never lost any health. I hit him with a pulse rifle, then a sniper rifle and finally a rocket launcher and his health bar never dropped.

It's likely our months old captain was the precursor to Randal the super Vandal, the immortal protector of Forgotten Shore.

Edited by merlinsteele: 12/29/2014 2:04:50 AMSomething weird like that happened to me and this other guy. Was also a public event, we are both high level and that bar wouldn't move down at all! Edit: didn't realize this was an old thread lol

Edited by AnnaMeemss: 12/29/2014 1:44:01 AMIt's no bug. Just the most annoying public event in the game. Doesn't matter what level you are, it's nearly hard as shit to do by yourself. Not to mention he only travels like 5 feet till he despawns. If I don't have my arc weapons, and he spawns, -blam!- it it ain't worth it Wow. I just commented on a thread that's 5 months old.

Not invulnerable, he just has that shield, once you take it down you have to keep shooting or it will regenerate really fast, same for all eliminate the target public events
-
two people can do it, melee from the back while other guy keeps him busy, when he turns, you shoot and the other person melees. you both have to be level 20 or higher with just two.
-
Me and one other guy took one of those captains down to 1/8 of his health before he reached his final checkpoint and disappeared....I was so pumped to kill him and then *poof* he's gone
-
Yeah, I ran into him a few times as well. Never was I victorious. Even when using a gun with the same energy as his shield, I couldn't beat him. I figured it was because I was by myself, but maybe it is a bug.
-
You can kill him but you can't do it alone. You're gonna need yo have at least four people to kill him to get the gold tier.
-
You can beat him you just have to wait till he reaches the final check point and the timer runs out.

Yep, I've run into him myself. Now if I see him as the event, I just avoid it. A definite waste of time and ammo.
