It's probably a kind of military thing.
Like, each branch of the American military gives each other so much crap, but when it got down to it, they would fight together.

As a soon to be Airman I agree with this. Since I chose to join the "chair-force" I've been crap talking other branches my friends and relatives joined but I still train with them and have a lot of fun when competing together.
