Hello Bungie and fellow testers!
During the time I've played with a friend, I've been testing the various options to manage my ingame audio and VoIP. Sadly, when music in Destiny starts playing, or the firefights start or hell, even when someone (NPC's) in the game speaks, I can't hear anything my friend says. I understand that it's possible to have only my VoIP run through my headset while having the Destiny ingame audio go through my speakers, in my opinion, that's not a solution. Having to focus on two different points of incoming audio hinders my gameplay. I'm sure this goes for more people.
I suggest 2 or more sliders:
- 1 to manage incoming VoIP audio;
- 1 to manage ingame audio.
I come from PC gaming where I daily use Ventrilo together with my music, and there I am able to fine-tune the audio differences into something that works, instead of a cacophony of unintelligible gibberish.
As far as Destiny goes, it is awesome from what I've seen and can't wait for the final release :) Keep up the good work!

I agree 100%. Some Halo games have had this issue in the past and I don't know why we can't reduce audio in game settings. Bungie please allow us to turn down music and/or sound effects. PS: For me, changing the audio so voice comes in through headset won't make much difference for me because my Tritton Trigger headset connects directly to the 360 and plays all audio (don't know if other mid-range - higher end headsets perform similarly).
