I'm a man and I always play as a male only because the writer in me makes these little storylines of being the runt of the litter and never going to get anywhere. Like the exo titan I currently have. He was programmed for I've job, kill everything but something in him. Maybe somewhere deep inside him he feels sentimental to the other guardians instead of just seeing then as bodies. He goes to the tower as requested and sits alone watching the guardians mingle. I guess what the exo it's looking for is love...and he thinks by clearing everything in his path. Maybe,just maybe he will did the one for him.
