Technically the bear's head is covered in fur, therefore he has a beard... in fact, his entire head is a beard.

Having fur does not mean an animal is bearded. Bearded animals are obvious, like goats and schnauzers. Also, I love your commitment to your subject matter. Are you proposing Exo beards? If so, what would that look like, a pile of exposed wiring?

Well bearious... sorry bear, various people have suggested things such as cabling dangling off their face, to like small bolts, and my personal favorite, a holographic beard.
