Hunters are former outlaws. Space cowboys, if you will. Gritty, fairly rude, unsocial survival types. Lone Rangers. Warlocks are scholars. More refined social skills and other things Hunters deem unnecessary. Also, they're kinda snobby. And they use void magic similar to the Hive, making them a lot less likable in the Hunters eyes.
