Ever try to put on a gas mask with a beard ? It tends to not work out very well if one plans to keep on breathing. I expect it would be much the same with a full head helmet, especially if it allows low, or no, atmosphere breathing. Ever notice the "fumes" rising from the biomass that the hive breeds in ? I expect that would be pretty toxic if we had to breath it. So yeah let those who want beards have them, just also give them the realism of death due to toxic gases, or lack of proper atmosphere in the appropriate places. I personally have nothing against beards, but am merely pointing out that there are viable reasons to have left them out of the game. Edit: I'd love a bear though.
