It's Bungie's way of adding some flavor to the different classes - you're not only different based on your abilities, but each class has it's distinct personality.
Hunters are more down-to-earth and think Warlocks are snobs, while us Warlocks look down on them for being sloppy and not as magically potent.
It's all in good fun!

You think Hunters are sloppy? Precision is our way of life... I do like the friendly rivalry, though. Just make sure you know what you're talking about, Warlock. ;]

Sloppy in the sense that you guys always seem to be wearing the dirtiest looking gear, tattered cloaks, and how you always get blood splattered everywhere when you jab your knife into an enemy. Me, I disintigrate my foe's with arcane energy when they get close, leaving nothing behind. As long as we all know our real enemy, it's all in jest! :)

In that case, yes, we are quite sloppy. xD I must say, though: it's quite entertains to watch a Warlock dissolve an enemy.

Even as a warlock player, I think my favorite moment was when I saw a titan jump off a cliff and active his super ability, which rocketed him toward the ground like freaking superman or something.
