Because wii u has no built in DRM, publishers are forcing console manufactures to include some form of DRM in their consoles dormant or not. Companies sooner or later want to controll ur games and right now they cant do it on the wii u. Why u think X box get soo much love from publishers cuz they almost went through with the DRM but make no mistake both playstation 4 and xbox still have DRM built in but at a dormant state.
