I feel like the higher Halo difficulties were also artificially created. Or did they not increase the enemies' armor and damage to crazy heights in Legendary? Because I sure didn't notice a difference in tactics or anything like that between the difficulties. Dark Souls is another game with artificial difficulty. It's built to punish you if [i]you[/i] make a mistake. It's not about just being able to walk through a low level area and ignore all the enemies. They still want you to be mindful of them because they are out to kill you and take over the planet.
