I'm a Bumper Jumper. Gotta be, whatever shooter I'm playing. I'm always a little put off by shooters that don't offer the option. Destiny has got it, though, and I'd expect as much from the makers of Halo, where the Bumper Jumper is at its most useful (at least in my game library). There's a problem with Destiny's Jumper though, due to the COD-like ADS controller scheme. What makes Jumper such a worthwhile venture in Halo is its advantage in 1v1 in PvP. To jump while being able to aim, as well as zoom in (I'll call it ADS, even though in Halo that's not really what it is) seriously throws off opponents and gives people with the patience and skill to master Jumper a natural reward for taking the time to adjust to it. My K/D in Halo nearly doubled when I made the switch, even though it took a while to get the hang of it (and coming back to it from other games can be jarring). You can't do all that in Destiny though. ADS is mapped to Left Trigger (ala COD) and thus makes jumping and aiming impossible without a major hand-posture adjustment, as in using the pointer and middle finger for the bumper and trigger respectively. So basically at the most, you can jump around spraying all over and hope the opponent panics. You won't win against a skilled opponent who keeps his or her cool though. My suggesting is this- Jumper already requires a radical change in finger coordination. Altering some elements around the bumper-to-jump to make it more effective makes sense.
Make left trigger grenades. Move melee to right bumper. Make ADS toggle on clicking the right stick. Map crouch to B (Circle). Everything else stays the same. Click left stick to run, X(Box) to reload, Y(Triangle) to swap, A(Ex) to super. It functions a lot more like Halo's Jumper then, making it more effective, without diminishing or making anything else any more difficult then Jumper's current setup. The only possible jarring adjustment would be the toggling ADS instead of holding for it, but I think for the Jumper this will work just fine.
I think it's a simple, but really HUGE fix. What do y'all think?

I liked the "Jumper" layout myself. But that's probably because I naturally get used to controls quickly.
