It's been a while since I've heard anything about abortion, the subject kinda drifted by in the wake of more controversial topics. I'd like to see the opinions you guys have towards abortion, now that the issue isn't at the forefront of our minds.

I do not think abortion should be outlawed. If the father is in the picture, I think he should have some (not all) say in the matter. He doesn't have to carry the child, but it's still his. Unless, there are extenuating circumstances i.e. serious health risks, -blam!-, etc. I don't agree with it as a form of birth control. If you don't want children, use protection, or don't have sex. Pregnancy is a result of sex. Be ready to accept the consequences before you make the choice. My girlfriend and I are adults, and we did not have sex when she was not using birth control because she was not comfortable with using only condoms. Did it suck? Sure it did, but it sucked less than having a kid before we were ready. In addition, I think people should be more educated on the process of abortion, and the risks of it. I think women would think about it more carefully, and men would realize how difficult a choice women are actually making when considering abortion. Also, disrespectful protesting/threatening/assaulting clinics, and the women who go to them is wrong. Note: I recognize that my view is a personal belief related to my own moral reasoning. Other people may not see it my way, that's why I said it should not be outlawed.
