I think repetition is also key for strike missions and raids. When me and some friends first did the strike mission in the beta it took about an hour and a half to get through it because we didn't know what to do or where to go really. Once we did it a couple of times we knocked it down to about 30-45 minutes a run. Once you get the hang of an area you know what's coming and from where so you can prepare more.
