Theater mode is just a place to view recent games and record segements or clips to share with friends later on. Halo practically started the theater mode in first person shooters, and games like Call of Duty later followed.

OK cool! If on Ps4 or Xbox 1 you can record game play as well. That's a sample of what I recorded from destiny using my PS4. So a lot of next gens have a similar feature

Yea, theater mode is somewhat obsolete now with the share button. I recorded this to test it out on my first iron banner game.

1 death :P Multiplayer is a little wierd. I can't quite place the problem, but there is one. Still more fun then modern Call of Duty games.

Theatre mode allows you to take as many angles as you want , third person or first and including free mode. Xboxs Record feature with connect and DVR is great and so is PS4 Share, but theatre would surpass it and open Destiny to machinists and artistic montages. Just my two cents but the recording capabilities of the console are welcomed and appreciated, but they just aren't equal to a real theatre more.
