The US has a lot of great things about it, however for some reason they won't let you import a car that's less than 25 years old. That means if you want some of the greatest cars ever made you have to wait till they 25 years old to get them. I doubt this will get the 100k signatures it needs, but every signature helps. This petition is pretty fair. It wants to reduce the import limit from 25 years to only 15 years. Even if you don't like cars please sign it.

Bump of the day.

Um we import cars from Japan and Korea all the time.

I actually want a Lancia Delta ...

>FREEDOM! Only lets you import cars that are over 25 years old. Scumbag USA

-blam!- your gay skyline

American made cars are the best anyway.
-
I signed it. Isn't 15 years the threshold for being "historic" anyway? And I don't see how this hurts American industry, the people in the market for a 15 year old car they want to import from over seas are not the same people in the market for a new car off a lot that "American made" (using that term extremely loosely)

"But it is there to protect American industry." Counter argument pl0x
-
Emission restriction laws and import laws are the cancer of the automotive industry.
-
I'd support a petition to eliminate the law altogether.

Signed
-
Nope I like American cars that give Americans jobs
-
Idk why but the fact there's a year requirement irritates me.
-
I'll give it a sign because competition is good Primarily because some of the greatest Japanese cars ever made never made it state side
-
Of course I'll sign it

What difference does it make? The most bad ass cars in history were made in america between 1962 and 1972. American muscle forever. Period.

Edited by Dustin Time 4Bed: 8/7/2014 2:58:58 AMI'd like to know the reason why the law was passed before I make an opinion on it. Oh that's a line of thought I shouldn't have travelled: thinking my opinion matters.
