Do you believe there will be only one (explorable?) area per planet and only four planets (including moon) at launch? How much do you think Bungie will add to the game post-launch? Are you disappointed about the size of Destiny or has your opinion not changed? Some people think you will be able to visit Chicago, Mumbai, European Dead Zone, and the Twilight Gap, as all are from concept art, via story missions, strikes, and maybe raids. The same for the other planets. Maybe even Europa or Saturn (non-explorable?). This means that there would only be ONE EXPLORABLE area per planet. DeeJ also mentioned in a stream that each multiplayer map is modeled after a location in PvE, meaning there could be other locations on Earth such as The Twilight Gap. I like to believe this, although I may have misinterpreted, but right now, we don't really quite know the true size of Destiny.

At Launch there will be Earth (and City), Moon, Venus, Mars, and The Reef as "locations". Mercury plays a bit of a major role with the Trials of Osiris and Jupiter/Saturn have grimoire cards mentioned. Post-Launch content is definitely 2 dlc and the Activision contract talks about "Comets". Micro-DLC (not pay for power) is not ruled out, but is unfavorable. I would always want as much Destiny as I could have, and I was a little sad about only 4-5 areas, but it should be fine. Now that they don't have to make everything from practically scratch you can expect more content in sequels. The concept art applies to all 4 Destiny games. These could be multiplayer as well, Twilight Gap is a Crucible map. The Twilight Gap is the area right outside of the city wall, expect it explorable in Destiny 2. All I can say is buy into the franchise, not the game. You will have fun, just hold out.

  • I'm still going to buy every Destiny game, don't you worry. Just because it isn't an explorable area, doesn't mean there can't be story missions or strikes or raids in those areas. DeeJ also confirmed that each multiplayer map is based off of PvE, sooo.

  • Yup, it all comes down to when. Areas take a while to make, so we will seen when they become explorable areas. I really want to explore the Twilight Gap, the first location humanity met the Cabal (right outside the city!)

  • Nah, what I'm saying is there's a possibility that they'll be available at launch, just not explorable. There could be story missions or strikes available there.

  • If any of the location to be, it will be Mercury. Trials of Osiris and whatnot
