Fixing the reload animations.

I really hope Bungie fixes the reload animations for the full release. I played the beta and noticed right away, that the animations were flawed. Basically there are two situations in which to perform a reload: 1. You're completely out of ammunition in your magazine. Reload procedure: Eject the magazine, put on a new magazine and cock your weapon to load it. 2. The situation calls for a fresh magazine even though your current one is not completely empty. Reload procedure: Eject the magazine and put on a new magazine. That's it! See the difference? There's i absolutely no need to cock your weapon when you still have a round in the chamber. In the beta my character always cocked the weapon after putting on a new magazine. This is wrong. In reality cocking your weapon with a round in the chamber would eject that unspent round thus wasting it. It might seem like a small issue to some of you - but for me it would make the whole experience more believable. This should really be in order. It is a shooter after all :) Otherwise I really enjoyed the beta. This was my only concern which says a lot about the overall quality of the game! Please let me know if there is a more appropriate forum for this topic. //Chris

I'm glad to see some one who shares my "need" to see this animation to be right! Personally I think any modern shooter should represent this realistically, as you did point out on my own post no one on this forum seems to care about it, and I'll venture to say the reason is a lack of knowledge on how the reload procedure of a gun works(not that I think is something you must know). And when you know is wrong, more or less, you'll care about it when you see it. You and I happen to be on the group where we simply can't ignore this while playing. And I think this could be change for people like us, as people who don't care about it will more than likely still not care about it. For most this will be a small detail, but I believe small details make great games and are a sign of quality. Last, I share my opinion about the game with Chris, it is a fantastic experience! Regards, Ion
