Wow is this considered CHEATING?
Forgive my ignorance, but I just came across this and don't know what to make of it just yet. I could see gamers using it in Destiny Crucible.
What do you guys think? Would you buy the Hipshotdot? Apparently they sell is at Gamestop.

By that definition what was shown in the video is certainly considered cheating. If the developer intended there to be a reticle or red dot there, they would have included it in the game.

I could only get the gist of it, considering. I got to say I wouldn't buy it. I like to get on by, by learning from my mistakes and the game's physics and improve from there. Aiming down your sights, as I've found during the Destiny Beta, was extremely helpful for me so I don't see it as a problem. Whenever I try to fire from the hip, it feels like I'm actually firing from the hip with the bullets spraying everywhere, instead of the unrealistic feel of a perfect aim despite jumping and sliding around a lot some games have. It may be just me, but I really appreciate the little things such as this. It makes the experience all the more sweeter.

How is it cheating? I mean its lame and pathetic but its not a glitch thst makes them invincible. Its not hard finding the center of your screen w/o it, at least ive never had problems. I dont use it nor do i care if noobs do

It is tailor made for the sort of person who isn't ACTUALLY fast enough to keep up with people who play video games, or want a more HONEST challenge. Edit: Having seen the kotaku video someone linked here, it doesn't even seem to work. So. Watch out for people using this; if they end up on your team you might be at a disadvantage.

There is no need for this in destiny there is already a reticle. It's good for HC game modes on COD because there is no reticle.

It's an aim reticule that you stick on your screen? That's retarded. Does it come bundled with a pet rock? Or maybe an extra one for cars, so you know which way your car is facing?

However destiny has a hud with ridicule? so u dont need that im pretty sure its more popular for 3rd person shooters like the aforementioned. That... thing doesn't do anything? Games have evolved since CS 1.6, hipfire accuracy is all over the place. There is always (well, ok, most of the time) also some sort of crosshairs available, and if you can't see where the middle point is, then I guess go ahead and spend money on this. It's your wasted money...

If that's what they need to keep up go for it its their money. It's not a wall hack its fine. Shooting from the hip always felt unnatural to me but I shoot real guns too.

1 ReplyNope its not cheating and why would you even care? You would NEVER know if someone was using this or not. Just like ppl using different "pro controllers", sure it helps them play a bit better but you would never know they are using it....its not like they're modding the game or anything.
