Forgive my ignorance, but I just came across this and don't know what to make of it just yet. I could see gamers using it in Destiny Crucible.
What do you guys think? Would you buy the Hipshotdot? Apparently they sell is at Gamestop.

We sell these at GameStop for like 30 bucks and we sell out all the time its -blam!-ing funny that people need a little light on their TV to show where the center hit marker is
-
The damn video is an error for me so I need a fill in
-
Edited by Failure4Life: 8/11/2014 6:07:26 AMIt's a dot... I used to do this with CS. It's fine. I'm more worried that people would buy this.
-
That whole thing is just a crutch. As for that video up there? Why did they only show a couple people? My guess...just about everyone else thought it was cheating and/or defeats the purpose of why some people game. I cannot condone such a blasphemous act.
-
If you need this, you suck.
-
Not cheating, just embarrassing.

Edited by TwigTwig: 8/11/2014 1:20:23 AMIf this is genuine, anyone buying this has my sincere sympathy and I wish you all the best. You're bad.
-
I think that if you NEED this thing, you must be really bad, I would call it more of a help than actually cheating... any experienced FPS gamer can locate that spot easily, but many people can´t. Except for the flashbang parts, where the dot isn't supposed to be seen, that is really unfair
-
If some loser wants to have it that's up to them. If players need to cheat to win then we even play, handicap. I would say that it is cheating.
-
I guess it's like extra strength Viagra but for gamers. Not strictly illegal, can enhance 'performance', but is really looked down upon in the community. XD
-
Very dishonourable.
-
They'll probably ban this in MLG as quick as a whore gets on a disco stick. I don't really care about MLG in my opinion but really, this defeats the whole purpose of playing games like this. "Easier is not always better." You can go ahead and quote me on that. 0/10, would not buy.
-
Well if you think it could possibly give an unfair advantage in the Destiny Crucible, doesn't it seem like a kind of bad idea to post it on the forums..
-
I'll probably just find a good aim bot instead
-
Video won't load for me, can someone tell me the exact name of the video?
-
I wouldn't consider it cheating, it's using a predictable element in the game. You would assume that the center is where bullets go. It is gong to be difficult to do with destiny sense the recoil is physically there.
-
That won't work in Destiny when there's actually recoil.
-
Ha, this stupid thing. Not cheating, but an absolute waste of money IMO. If you need outside help to help you aim and kill people in FPS games, you don't need to be playing them
-
As much as we call it cheating, it wont class as cheating as it isnt using any software (i.e. Programmes that give you aimbot etc) making it undetectable. Of course, this shouts out only one thing to me, Pay to win...
-
wow that's bad, all that time and effort to make you seem good when you actually arnt, bad form
-
There are a lot of games where the accuracy of your weapon is affected by whether you're looking down the sights. Meaning that even if you have a marker representing where you're reticule would be, your rounds aren't necessarily going to be landing there at medium or longer ranges. I've seen this in Killzone in particular. Borderlands and Destiny both have perks where the longer you fire a weapon the more accurate it gets, suggesting this type of dynamic aiming variable as well.
-
It would be annoying if snipers hip fired accurately/in a predictable way, but they don't. It's not going to make bad players good. People are just wasting their money. I never understood why anyone would spend money to appear good at a video game.
-
I like it cause you guys hate it
-
It's obviously cheating. They say it themselves. Look at the quote they give at the end of the video.
-
I use a neon colored sticker. It does the same thing.
-
People who use this will never be good when it comes time for a LAN tournament....
