In one respect, I could see this as dev designer oversight such as the designed sight not being visible when it really should be. However the main issue, as already mentioned by other people in this thread would be that obviously it's just another form of cheating. Sure other people wouldn't necessarily know, but the player would know, and this just seems to take away the fun in the game. You're no longer looking for a challenge, or to play for fun, you're playing just to win. Sure when you play a game, you play to win, but it'd be more fun to master the skills needed to do so, than to have to rely on a glowing dot to mitigate any learning curve.
The thing I had to laugh at though was their use of the US Marines quote, "Always cheat, always win. The only unfair fight is the one you lose.", which can certainly hold true to this day... if you're a soldier in real life (and not talking about a fictional video game character)!!! Makes me think that all these 12 year olds should be given live ammunition, thrown on to the field against some oppressive military, and told to fight to win...
