How is that seen as cheating?
It helps with sniping if it's a game where the sniper always zooms in at the middle of the screen but other than that I don't really see the uses for it.
I know people would put a piece of tape or just a tiny bit of gum or something on their screen to make mythic runs in Halo 3 a little easier.

If youre shooting a full auto rifle, the sights kick even when the screen doesnt. This gives a very unfair advantage

But then again Destiny is a console game with lots of aim-assist so you're still not getting an advantage unless the game is made incorrectly and the bullets keep hitting the middle of the screen even when the sight isn't pointed there.
