Forgive my ignorance, but I just came across this and don't know what to make of it just yet. I could see gamers using it in Destiny Crucible.
What do you guys think? Would you buy the Hipshotdot? Apparently they sell is at Gamestop.

I don't think it's cheating or strategic, really. I just don't think it's in the spirit of the game. If you're bad at estimating the center of your screen, sure, it'll give you an advantage over where you would be normally, but I don't think this will take a poor player and make them great. I could see this maybe helping me in situations where I get startled by an opponent I wasn't expecting and having it allow me to react slightly quicker, slightly more accurately or consistently. But in that case I feel like using my radar and tracking enemy movements over VOIP in order to better anticipate encounters is a better skill to have. So the most significant reason I could see myself using this is if I've already failed and need to compensate for that. In that sense I could see it being a slight crutch.
