It started off like any other day. My guardian awoke from his perch high up in the rafters of the Tower (heroes don't have real beds) to the sight of the Traveler bathed in the light of a glorious sunrise. It was the perfect sight to wake up to, and the perfect reminder that the precious city needed to be protected.
He journeyed out into the wilderness of Old Russia, slaying many a foe in the process. It was truly glorious. And then, almost as if by fate, a small cavern in a cliffside caught his gaze. Being not that far away, and having no more enemies to destroy with his might, my noble Guardian decided to venture toward the small cave. Once inside he found a small chest, a relic from the Golden Age, and inside, the most beautiful looking killing utensil he had even seen. Etched on its side was the word "Thunderlord" and countless tally marks, undoubtedly the number of foes slaughtered with its power. He took it, loaded in a few rounds and shot at a Fallen Captain corpse just outside the cave. The gun's magnificent blue bolts of electricity lit up the walls of the cave and it's thunderous report echoed loudly. My Guardian was in awe. "This will do quite nicely he thought." Carefully harnessing his new found treasure to his back, and filled with a great sense of power, he started to leave the cave, ready to return to the fight against the Darkness. "Now nothing can stand in my way."
And then, just as he stepped foot outside the cave a giant beast of a monster, the legendary Hallowed Ogre shot him with his Purple Laser Eyes of Death. My guardian fell to the ground, unable to even fire a single shot. As his vision faded, he could see the Hallowed Ogre, still shooting him with his Purple Laser Eyes of Death. And then, it was over.
