The fire rate stat for guns used to be a number showing how many rounds the gun could fire per minute. I think that it was much more understandable and cool when the fire rate was a number.
Lets get this to bungie and change it back guys!

Why not have both!

Sahara ar3 was 900 rpm, In the beta the bar was nearly full, I take it from their and apply it to other games then guess the number

Bars are more accurate way of predicting how the gun behaves than numbers.

Edited by SaferMurderweapon: 8/14/2014 8:29:59 PMI think they are just making it easier to understand but it's unreliable nonetheless. Even if they put in the values, developers tend not to put in the correct information. That information is usually discovered by the players through extensive testing. I've linked a chart that shows all the real stats for weapons in Mass Effect 3's multiplayer to use as an example. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgoNSTctMEekdHIwa081S0FBVS1ZZzdWeXRnbGRDYnc&output=html&gid=10 There will likely be something similar in Destiny. There usually is for each shooter. Here is another site that shows weapon stats in other shooters like CoD and Battlefield: http://symthic.com/
