I used a small piece of tape on my computer screen years ago in counter strike source to help with quick scoping my sniper rifle. Eventually you don't need the dot at all. Some might say it was a clutch but to me it was a good way to learn how to quick scope in games and actually helped me a lot in other fps type games since then with overall performance. The fact they have to buy this is a scam more then anything. So no its not cheating, you should pity anyone that buys it though.
