If bungie could clear up this confusion that would be great.
Everyone knows that PS is getting 'Timed-Exclusive' content for a year. The link confirms that the Bungie/Activision - Sony contract is valid until Fall 2015 (basically until 9/9/2015).
But what exactly does that entail??
On the one hand people think that it means PS players will get say, 2 or 3 bits of full DLC during that year, and xbox users will only get access to it after that year is up.
On the other hand there are those who believe that DLC will be released on PS, then a month or two later, that content will be released to Xbox users, until that year is up in which case future DLC will likely be released to both consoles at the same time.
There are even sites (such as the link provided) that say it is only specific content that is exclusive such as multiplayer maps, ships, vanguard weaponry (links can be provided on request). In other words, full DLC like story missions, strikes, raids etc will be released to both consoles but with some extras 'stapled on' for the PS gamers. In which case, us Xbox gamers shouldn't be so annoyed about it. (Personally I'm not, but 5 minutes in the forums will show what I mean)
I ask Bungie (Specifically Deej which probably won't happen) or anyone that can provide a link containing the required info and has been cited by Bungie officials or another reputable company (IGN, Machinima, you get the idea):
Can we get a list of exactly what is exclusive, and for how long Xbox users will have to wait to get DLC??
Edit1: Already there is conflicting posts in the comments. Please provide a link or links to your sources people
Edit2:
As we are surely all aware of at this point in time, Sony has arranged to have timed-exclusive DLC for Destiny, consisting of a few pieces of arms and armor, as well as a strike map and mid-size PvP map. It has also been revealed that there will be timed-exclusive content included with the expansion pass that will remain exclusive until at least Fall 2015.
Edit3: Still need sources of info on the 'Exclusive Content' provided with the Season Pass. Is it the expansions themselves or more 'staples' as I like to call them?

Edited by Com Faydar: 8/19/2014 9:11:20 PMHere are the exact PlayStation exclusives via PlayStation's website. These are the only known exclusives at this time as far as I know. The bottom of the page states: "Timed exclusive until at least Fall 2015"

Edited by serverfires: 8/17/2014 7:20:23 PMAs far as i know... PlayStation and Xbox get The Dark Below and The House Of Wolves expansion pack AT THE SAME TIME. PlayStation just receives some extra bits of content with it before Xbox does. The Exodus Blue crucible map, The Dust Palace strike, Hawkmoon handcannon, Monte Carlo Auto Rifle, custom ships and armor sets for the respective classes will come to PlayStation first and remain exclusive for around a year.
-
Ok everyone, Playstation will be getting EXTRA times goodies in every dlc until fall 2015. Check MoreConsoles video because he explains it better than I can. So we will all get the dark below and the house of wolves at the same time
-
Nothing to be confused about its timed there's still plenty of content to mow through so players won't miss much.

Edited by Wiseone1: 8/16/2014 9:42:07 AMThe dlc is exactly 1 strike, 1 multiplayer map, and a few pieces of class specific gear. It is no more than that Ps4 is getting no exclusive content when it comes to the 2 expansions . I don't see how this is so confusing?
-
Basically, PS4 is the only real system to play this on, anything less is a concession you need to make.
-
The expansion packs are not a timed exclusive, everyone will get them at the same time. Each pack will have similar exclusive content to the game itself(a strike, a PvP map and gear). Just think about it logically. Why would they sell a season pass you couldn't use for a year? Why would they cut off such a large revenue stream? Why leave half of your player base so far behind?

All you XBONErs need to quit bitching.

Edited by Satanic Mechanic: 8/16/2014 2:12:40 AM#3 a strike on Mars... Some palace something and a pvp map blue somewhat... And not sure bout this one but a few weapons and armor sets... No link of course sorry
edit cuz I can't lleps
Number 3. That's why whining xbox players look that bad. As you said, no real reason to cry
-
Lol c'mon they are not holding back the dlc expansions. Just specific content relates to those expansions just like the stuff at launch. I'm starting to think the ps fanboyism I'm hearing is wishfull thinking
-
Oh gosh, hype is a commodity now.
-
Everyone gets DLC at similar times but PS get a few guns, a map and a ship, one year early.
-
Nothing solid, but my understand is that the DLC will be available to all systems at the same time; some of the content will be exclusive though, much like the launch.
-
Ok Deej confirmed this... everyone gets dlc PS and Xbox on same day... PS just gets a few extras on dlc just like main game
-
It's timed for a year. That's what it says when you preorder the Digital Guardian on PS4 anyway. "Timed exclusive until fall 2015". Hope that helps.
