Personalities don't change in that way. While it's true you can work to develop your weaker areas to "improve yourself" so to speak, you'll always have the same preferences once you reach a certain age. In short, your personality is "set" well before you hit puberty. Apart from superficial changes, it would have been impossible for your personality to change during or after high school.
