Noob question, but a real question... I played the Beta on PS4 without PSN so I was unable to play crucible, strike or play missions in multiplayer. So my question is How does joining a fire team for a strike or mission actually work? Do I have to seek out two players to do that with or is there auto match making! Thanks.

Get ps +. It will make the game much more enjoyable. Duebto matchmaking and connecting with others is the new justification for needing ps+ plus and xbox gold for gamers to play with eachother. It is required for thise activities.
As far as seeking ppl out. B.net is a great place to start. There are groups such as "Grown Up Problems". And " Dads of Destiny " that may be rigjt up your alley for networking for these events. Or you can try #Clans. Theres about a zillion people who would live to have u as a member of their group or clan.
There is however auto match making. But thats not as fun as having some people you like to talk to and can enjoy the concersations while gaming.
Raids however. Requiring 6 people. Do NOT have auto match making and must be approached with a pre made group of 6 to tackle.
Hope this helped ! No such thing as noob questions sir.
