*sighs* Thank God (and Bungie) for not adding a trading system. Sucks for you, lazy people.

I've commented on this topic several times but I suppose some of the newer people to this thread could hear my 2 cents as well. If they were to allow trading it would ultimately lead to more than just laziness. It would open the door to gold/ glimmer farming companies. That may be a term unknown to non PC gamers. Those are online companies that will actually pay people, typically but not always Asian companies, to grind gear and glimmer. They then advertise to come to their site and pay "real money" for glimmer and or loot. You pay using some sort of PayPal or other online currency and they deliver the glimmer/ gear in game. It basically adds unauthorized micro transactions to the game. Which intern takes away from the epicness of truly EARNED gear. I know you want to reply, "well it can just be low level gear or whatnot." The level of gear doesn't make it any less a form of cheating in my opinion. And I would much rather money go to Bungie for dlc to help future dlc. We are getting close to release, hang in there. Good hunting Guardians!

U beat me to it, but yeah definitely just farm n sell who needs a real job
-
Amen sir!
-
Lol... I get pretty lazy :(
-
I agree. People should earn their weapons and armor
-
Thank you baby jesus
-
Yeah its good to hear..... that way we sort the wheat from chaff
-
Seems lazy on bungies part to not add that, most mmos have that and promotes cooperation.
-
This isn't an MMO.
-
You don't say, but is simular.
-
Similar doesn't mean it needs to have every feature of something it's not. There also isn't a crafting system that is basically the foundation of every MMO economy. The reasons to leave the trading out of a game like this far outweigh the reasons why there should be.
-
It's restrictive on the community.
-
The community is restrictive on their vision of how they want to build their game? Look, I'm on record here saying I wouldn't be against and would somewhat prefer a trading system that excluded Legendary and Exotic items. Then both sides get what they want - there is trade and you have to earn your end game gear... However, I am wholly opposed to people acting like they are entitled to anything and everything. Push comes to shove, nobody forces you to buy any game. Developers make decisions like this with thought behind them, rest assured, and no matter what they are going to upset somebody.
-
I mean Borderlands had a better sharing system than this, what if you want to share something you don't want? Trash it? What a waste.
-
They could've easily implemented it, but they decided not to because then people can be lazy and give people glimmer for their gear. Bungie doesn't want that.
-
I don't see how it's lazy its either get lucky, not "hard work".
-
The point is a trading system could be abused by some people and bungie decided that that outweighs any possible benefits.

Edited by TooShea4U: 8/23/2014 7:20:18 PMIt's not lazy, don't be a jerk; they can set rules for the trading system...how about you check yourself before making a generalization like that.
-
yeah, i don't see how trading between the community to be lazy when winning the loot isn't hard work just luck. oh i won money at a casino..such "hard work".
-
Please explain why it isn't lazy. If I go out and spend time getting loot. Why shouldn't everyone spend time and effort to do the same? By playing the game, you will get new and better gear. So play the game and get the gear. And once you get an even more bad ass weapon than the current one you have, throw it in your vault so it will be available to your next level appropriate character you create.
-
In all fairness, it probably would take more effort trying to get the glimmer to trade for it :P
-
They clearly just said that they're not doing it. Quit feeling so butthurt.

Edited by TooShea4U: 8/23/2014 3:45:39 PMI'm just standing up for people who would've liked to see the system in the game, me including, because I have to create a new account so I'm losing my Beta rewards. I know they said they aren't doing it, they could've put restrictions on it if they had done it so people who don't want to take the time to get certain gear wouldn't be able to trade for it. I for one would've liked the option to help out a buddy and give him some gear I don't want or need, and everything has a level specific to it, so if you aren't that level you wouldn't be able to get it anyway. Any fool with a little common sense would be able to tell that; I'm sorry for hurting your feelings.
-
Even if you could in game trade, it wouldn't include emblems any ways. Emblems are in game rewards for completing tasks. Playing in the beta, got you an emblem. It would be like if I got an emblem for completing the Raid, how could I give it to someone who hadn't beat the raid? I'm sorry if for some reason you have to make a new account and lose an emblem showing you participated in the beta. But don't you suppose all those emblems will be replaced within a week or even sooner after release? It will be ok, hang in there. Our journey to becoming legend is only a little over 2 weeks away!

A trading system and your beta rewards have nothing to do with one another.
