You still keep your items from the Beta you just have to re-create your character and re-rank up your character to be able to use your items.

nope they Deej said before in a Qand A that the answer is nope. even the vaults are being wipped. if you need more info go to youtube. Datto does destiny. and Moreconcole check them both out or even My name is byf. all three have referanced that info and then some.

I think Samurai is mistaking the Legend showing up items from your old characters still. It's just a cache issue and the characters and loot are gone, gone, gone.
