The servers go live at midnight in New Zealand. If you need a physical copy, you can only pick it up at midnight local time. So you can only play once you have your physical copy. If you have the download version (pre-download is September 7th) then you might be able to play when the servers go live at midnight in New Zealand. I'm getting up early just in case.
