Don't need six people u could actually do them solo which is really stupid but six makes it really easy 4 u can still do a raid if u want to do a raid then I ask u are u ok with being on my youtube channel? Also my clan is humanities bane I will give u my gt if ur ok with that hope this helped :)
-
Thank you so much!
-
No problem :)
-
you don't need six people to do a raid, you just need 6 people to do it right, just like explore, you can have 3 people, but you can do it alone, well that's if you can make it half way there.
-
Has Bungie clarified this somewhere? I thought there was a 6 player requirement to even access the Raid? As in, you cannot even play if you don't have 6 people. ???
-
nope. they said they wanted you to join friends and take on the raid, which means no matchmaking, so yes u can do it solo.
-
That'll be nice if it turns out to be true. Doesn't sound like it from what Luke Smith has been saying but here's hoping.
-
ill ask my bungie friend about and he will confirm it to me and then I will tell you
-
bro I don't have enough friends for raids but I will find some ppl. All my friends are either not getting the game or got a PS4. Only one of my real life friends is getting Destiny. But Through this forum alone I've gotten friend requests by posting my gt. Its not that hard dude. I mean you are already here...make friends on this and plan raids, simple.
-
Just ask randoms in the tower no worries..
-
I am well aware on how to join a clan, I'm posting this on the weekly update so bungie will see this, sympathize with my misery of having to do work, and put a mach-making system into raids.

MMOs are a social experience more than almost any other game. Do some strikes and explore public events and find some people you work well with/have fun with. Group up and progress together and boom you have enough people for a raid. You also made some friends in the process. Destiny is going to be around for 10 years you could easily make some friends you will be spending a lot of time with and possibly still be friends well after destiny is over and done. I am a member of a Teamspeak clan that has evolved from just that type of situation; across many different games. We are opening up multiple raid teams playing on each of the consoles come launch. We are always looking for new members. Let me know if you are interested. Launch is in 16 days and I can't wait!

Instead of complaining about how you'l never get to do raids, why don't you pick up a couple of friends of the forums? It's easy.
-
Not that easy to get 4 friends on all at the same time, in addition to two randoms. Not everyone is as flexible with their time. No mm will prevent a lot of people from every completing raids.
-
Not true. It will prevent the people who don't want to put the time and effort into organizing some group for a raid from ever completing a raid. If you really want to do a raid, you'll put the effort in to get it done. I mean, there are going to be tons of clans that are organizing raids. I'm not trying to be rude or anything. I apologize if it sounds that way.
-
No, it's fine I understand what you're saying. I just feel like they are asking for a huge time commitment to setup and complete the raid that most people won't be able to handle. It's just another way to look at the matchmaking argument. I don't really care about mm, but it's interesting to view things from multiple perspectives.
-
Not like we are asking a huge time commitment of Bungie to create Destiny and the raids within Destiny or anything. Raids are said to take 3-4 hours. Take into account they are on a weekly reset. There are 168 hours in a week. If you work the standard 40 hours per week, that leaves 128. Factor in 8 hours a day for sleep, 72 hours remain. Leave room for misc activities (example: 4 hours per day) such as family, gf, friends, getting to and from work, eating, bathroom etc...44 hours remain in your week. 44 hours to find friends/randoms for 3-4 hours of total content...kudos to Bungie for not promoting laziness with matchmaking. Before you respond, this is a generic work week example, not tailored specifically to any one person. There will be other factors in your personal life, some of which you should be prioritizing over completing a raid in a game anyway. I somehow doubt you are too busy of a human to take 10 minutes out of your week to find someone to play with in a game where over 4 million people played the Beta alone. Also if anyone is a stickler for details, I'm not a math professor, so feel free to politely correct anything I've said and I will make the edit.

That first point is irrelevant because bungie is being payed for their hard work, the community is not. The problem with randoms is finding something who has an identical schedule and is able to play at the same time you are. I don't like how bungie requires you set aside time that has to work for 6 people rather than just pick up and play. Destiny is a casual game so I find it hard to understand why they are making raids with a barrier for casuals to play. Seems contradictory to what bungie is.
-
Your entire thought process is irrelevant. Bungie has made it clear how difficult the raids are and their reasons for not implementing matchmaking. Their game has not yet released, if you don't like that factor of the game then either find a different game mode or don't buy the game. It's purely as simple as that. Bungie is giving you all the tools you need to find people with a similar schedule to you. Finding 6 people is absolutely laughable in comparison to other team based raiding. It's 3-4 hours a week. Find 6 people with 30-45 minutes of matching availability and knock out a raid over the course of 7 days. Find 6 people with 1 hour of matching availability and knock it out in 3-4 days. Find 6 people with 3-4 hours of matching availability and knock it out in one sitting. "Destiny is a casual game" Says...you? Destiny is a game made with absolutely everyone in mind, including casuals and hardcore gamers. They have a game mode for every play style. Raids were made with the truly legendary in mind. If you wish to participate in that feature, then you have to perform some form of effort. And it pains me to call posting on a forum for someone to raid with "effort". Bottom line is, if you want to raid in Destiny, you will have to work for it. And id advise you to create your own game to implement features you want, but that would require real effort and, let's face it, you have already shown you don't want to work for anything.

Easy as the push of the request to join clan button.
