Will the clan member cap remain at 75?
How does 100 sound?
Like absolute garbage. Well, it looks like I'm either going to have to kick 50 people or create an unnecessary subgroup and alliance the two together... BUT WAIT! I can't, otherwise I'd have to break my alliance with the other 18 clans I'm allianced with in Shadow Ravens. Darn, well it looks like Bungie's done it again. Made an unnecessary restriction. *cough* proximity chat *cough*

Why do you need to be ethereally grouped with more than 99 other people. I'd be willing to bet that you wouldn't even recognize 75% of them if they were speaking to you in voice chat under a new name.

Edited by N E S S I: 8/24/2014 1:22:10 AMYou don't understand the purpose of clans. The purpose of clans isn't to know each one of them individually. That's what Bungie thinks clans are. I want a big mass of people who will show up to events regularly, play crucible, socialize and meet new people, not a small group of friends. You should be able to meet new people everytime at a clan event and the clan members that are cool you will add and play with more. A huge roster of friendly faces. Just goes to say everyone has different intentions when they want a group. They want to run it the way they want to run it. Bungie isn't allowing that.

Is prox chat actually confirmed as not in the full game? In the Newsweek feature on Destiny there is a direct quote talking about going up to someone and being like where did you get that gun? Not walking up, sending a friend request, hoping they accept it, then asking where they got it.
-
You need to be in a fireteam with another person to talk to them. There's no gamechat in Destiny.
-
You have a source for that? I haven't seen it confirmed. Mostly people just speculation from the Beta. Makes the quote from the Bungie rep in the magazine seem real stupid.
-
Google. What quote?

Via the Newsweek Destiny Collector's Edition: Deej, on how to enjoy Destiny with others - Talk To Strangers "If I see someone striding through the Tower with some out of control auto rifle with a spiked muzzle and I say, 'I want that - where the hell did you get that thing?' Then they're like, 'Oh, you don't have this? I know where you can get this. You wanna come with me?'" It goes on, but that conversation is VERY difficult with the Beta setup.

I'm almost certain prox chat is in it.
-
It's not.
-
Ah. That's unfortunate. At least inviting to fireteam is easier than adding to friends list. But still, game chat should still be included.
-
Well you could just add your other clan to the alliance also and problem solved :)
