"We want you to earn your weapons" Yeah, thanks bungie. If you believe in a person, you give them actual weapons, not left to fend for themselves with crappy weapons. Oh wait, you probably never believed in your community to begin with, did you? Besides, those "epic war stories" on how you earned your weapons,it's not like any of the quests you do to earn these weapons will be real special. "How did you earn your weapon?" "Oh,I killed this Cabal guy whose name I didn't know." What kinda war story is that?!
EDIT:For those people who want to hate my post, hear me out. I just wanted to suggest (indirectly) that some form of trading should be added. Not one that would kill the economy, but improve it. By having a form of trading that wouldn't be able to trade the overly powerful stuff. By allowing us to trade items like Ether seeds or class items common to uncommon. Real minor stuff, you know. If you still wish to hate me and call me a troll...fine. But at least look at this before making your comment and Bungie, please don't ban me. Thank you.

No. I just think you are creepy having a name from a anime I once watched and not being a guy.
-
This is a name from an anime? I picked out the nickname when I was in middle school like six years ago.
-
Way to stay on topic.
-
-
Hey now, I was just addressing the name thing. Anyway, I don't know how it could possibly work. The guns we got in the beginning weren't too bad. But it did take some time to find the good ones, but that's all part of the adventure. ^-^
-
Still, you do have a point. I don't think trading would be that interesting since most of the weapons are pallet swaps of each other(then again, it was a beta :T). Only way I can see this being healthy is if Maybe we could trade to and from someone at a certain level requirement?
-
Maybe a system that you can only trade weapons between a certain damage level. Like if you want a weapon that does 70 damage you have to trade another weapon between 70 and 80 damage for it so you boosters can't give their level 2 friends a 200 damage weapon and stuff
-
Yeah I was thinking about the trading idea. Most items should be tradable but special items can't be traded
-
Zombies do not require a player economy, sorry you feel otherwise
-
You can't be a zombie guardian.
-
All guardians are zombies, it is known
-
Very true, guardians are the dead made undead by the ghost!
-
Still gonna hate on u
-
Yeah,thanks @#$%.

If you can't earn the weapons yourself then maybe you shouldn't be playing the game, trading in RPG's is all well and good but Destiny isn't an RPG it just has RPG elements to it.
-
Dude,I'm still playing the game. Just suggesting something to Bungie. I preordered the LE and plan to play with my clan this game I've been excited for two years.
-
Destiny doesn't essentially need trading. On the other hand I strongly agree with the article, trading common and uncommon items sounds like a great idea. Maybe with set limitations so that a young player can't trade a bad weapon for a good one. In the end I would say that trading in Destiny would be extremely cool, I for one honestly can't say I wouldn't like to see it. While I see where Bungie is coming from, I still strongly believe trading would be an awesome addition to this already fantastic game.

Edited by GrucciusMaximus: 8/24/2014 2:26:08 PMtrading seems counter productive: it would open up a new group of people. the people who only trade and don't play the game, the annoying people who spam trade requests, the people who cheat noobs out of there gear, and besides with the leveling system and low verity of guns and armor variants people wouldn't be able to find guns of there level better than what they already have
-
So? Bungie has ways of finding people like that,I bet. They could ban the person from trading.
-
then they would get crap from is about banging some one who didn't break a rule (all that stuff is annoying but not really cheating)
-
Super high lvls could give soo much spin metal to a noob that could get alot of vanguard marks and get high lvl armor and weapons.
-
IK,so forget spin metal.
-
Trading isnt needed
-
In a game like this, I think trading would only narrow the scope of Destiny. People could choose to sit back I'm Old Russia, farm money, and then head to the tower to buy their weapons from other guardians. In essence, players could become geared for pvp and raiding without actually experiencing a large chunk of the game. It also drastically deteriorates the amount of awe that certain weapons could inspire. One person could spend days (game time) earning a weapon like Red Death. But another could buy it. This would be a world not worth playing in. I support Bungie's decision on this one.

Dude, you think I was dumb enough to put exotic trading in my form of trading. Look at my article fully,no skimming and reply again when you've read all of it.
