MMOs are a social experience more than almost any other game. Do some strikes and explore public events and find some people you work well with/have fun with. Group up and progress together and boom you have enough people for a raid. You also made some friends in the process. Destiny is going to be around for 10 years you could easily make some friends you will be spending a lot of time with and possibly still be friends well after destiny is over and done. I am a member of a Teamspeak clan that has evolved from just that type of situation; across many different games. We are opening up multiple raid teams playing on each of the consoles come launch.
