So if I only have a 40GB xbox and destiny takes up that much and I already have games then i can't play destiny?

If you're talking about a 360, then you shouldn't need to worry .

Because the 360 version won't be that big. And you won't be downloading all of it to your hard drive. 40gb is likely to be the size of the xb1/ps4 version.
