People in lame should always have wards to defend against ganks. I'm typically the jungler, so I don't have much warding responsibilities, though, I do usually use my wriggles ward for dragon or for warding their jungle. If I'm getting counter jungled, I'll often ward my own jungle.
Gavin, late game, most of us have full builds and cannot have a slot for wards as it would set us back badly. There's always a debate on whether or not supports should take a sixth and final item or keep it for ward slots. It really depends on the game and the judgement of the player. But there's no doubt. That. I try to help as much as I can, because every lane player does have a responsibility to help out with warding. I usually buy between 5 and 10 wards a game. But lategame when I'm full build, or need that 6th slot for a piece of an item, I'm not going to sacrifice damage or survivability for a ward slot. No offense, but supports are going to be farther back in a fight, and they usually shouldnt need that power/health. So yes, we'll all help with ward placement, but just be aware that the later the game goes, the more it's going to ride on you for wards.
So we need to try the 5 teleport strat tonight. If any of you have seen Oddones streams, they did a comp where everyone took teleport over flash. The idea is to place a ward behind the enemy laners, and be able to gank that way. If someone on the team is being ganked, teleport lets you immediately make it a team fight. People teleport in 2-person shifts, mid and jungler and duo-bot most often it seems. I think its actually a fairly viable strat, and unless the opponent is buying vision wards and oracles constantly, its hard to stop a team from becoming five Shens.
