Good point Vishra. Gavin also reminded me of something last night. Trying champs for the first time in normal queue games is NOT a bad idea. Sure, you could use bot games to figure out the playstyle of a champion and how they play/their abilities. But you'll never truly learn how to master a champion unless you learn to play them in a real game situation. Just like Vishra, I've tried new champions numerous times in normal games. Sometimes I did well, and other times I failed. No matter how I did, though, I made sure to persist and learn the champion. Now I have 12-15 champions I'm comfortable playing with consistently.
