Brah I didn't even bother reading all your horse Shît. If you aren't happy don't bother getting it. It will be better without you.

  • Haha if you would've read it you would've realized I'm getting this game no matter what because it was a huge success and by far my favorite game in a LONG time. I was just saying it would be nice if say the timed exclusives were only about a few weeks then the whole community got it.

  • Look, I never read your original post, but I'll explain how the whole situation works. Basically, a developer, in this case bungie, comes up with an idea and begins programming that idea into a game. Once they have a working model, they begin pushing it to publishers, like Activision. These publishers then say, sure, we think you have something here, we'll invest X amount of dollars to help you build this. The publisher then goes to the console companies and pushes the idea for them. This is the stage where exclusives are born. This is where halo became xbox only, and God of war became Sony exclusive. The console companies, in this case Sony and Microsoft, because let's be realistic, Nintendo is a dying breed, each look at the game, they then decide, we've absolutely gotta have this, plus we want exclusives, we'll give you X amount of dollars for exclusivity. The game gets published, one console who shelled out the money, gets tons of happy gamers saying "Oh my console company loves me, their the best". The other company gets a fanbase crying foul, but not at them, oh no, at the publisher, or even better, the developer for "jumping ship" on their console. And none of the latter matters to the company that dished out for exclusivity, or the publisher. Then you have the third group of people, if which there are some of you out there. This group is the group that flips systems. This is the group that console companies target with their exclusivity deals. The companies don't care that we who already have their system are getting more for it, sure they love our positive feedback, but they've already got our dollars. They don't care about the cry babies on the other console. They probably chuckle at them as a matter of fact. No, they target the flippers, that's new product sale. New cash flow. Such is the way of business.
