So we have to hit orbit before a new location because its a law of science/physics/scifimadeuowordgoeshere? Did you forget we take a ship that has no orbital capability and fly it all the way to the tower at the very start? I see no reason as to why we can't avoid double the load screens by circumventing the whole "to orbit and back" when we have documented proof you never actually have to leave to orbit when traveling to two points on a single celestial body.

Because you don't buy games to watch load screens, what would really be wrong with cutting out one of two load screens? You'd still see the "beautiful" load screens just be able to get back into the action that much faster
