I have yet to read anything about a proximity voice chat option at the tower. Won't be much of a social hub if you can only talk to those in your fire team.

That's when you just creep on people. It might be too obnoxious at that point. Sometimes the tower has a lot of people in there. I wouldn't want to show up and have my ear drums blasted out of my head by some screaming kid.

Though there may be instances were you will come across the undisciplined youth, as you move throughout your normal day you have the opportunity to interact with many different people. Why should the tower be any different. Bungee claims this great place to interact with others and share experiences. Limiting chat to fire team only means the fire team can discuss what they just did? Only 16 players in each instance of the tower anyway. How thin is your skin to be that effected. If issues arise report the offenders and problem is solved.

There have been many times that that's all I could hear while playing with others. But we will see what is in store.
