Someone please elaborate these questions;
"It is rather difficult to excite you." Are we going skydiving? Are we playing video games? Are we watching a new film? Are we getting pizza? What is commonly accepted as exciting? Conditional. "You often feel as if you have to defend your principles and ideas." This one confuses me. When do I need to defend my principles and ideas? What principles? What ideas? This depends on the subject of the conversation. Conditional. "You do not mind being at the center of attention." That depends on who is watching me. Am I with a small group of well-known friends or hundreds of strangers? Conditional. "You want your work to reflect how you feel instead of just meeting some objective standards." That depends on the work. Am I making a video game, writing a story, or cleaning the dishes? Conditional. "An interesting book or a video game are often better than a social event." Does the social event involve video games? I don't read books. I love video games. Conditional, with neutralized answers. Assuming the book and/or video game are simply objects provided by the question to suggest that I would rather do my own things than go to a social event, the question is still conditional. Assuming 'social event' implies partying and/or going out and drinking then no. Conditional. "You often overthink your tasks or projects." 'Overthink':think about (something) too much or for too long. That depends on the idea. Does the idea need strong consideration before beginning, or can I jump straight into it if it's a small task? Conditional. Depends on the task or project.

"It does not take you much time to start getting involved in social activities at your new workplace." That depends on the activities. Conditional. "You would rather do something in your own way than copy other people’s methods, even if they are shown to work." I presume 'they' means the other people's methods. If yes, then no. If my own way is shown to work, then yes. I'm going to assume 'they' means the other people's methods and answer with no. "You can quickly remember important facts and events (e.g. birthdays)." Not birthdays. I don't care about birthdays. This depends on the facts and events. Conditional. "You often stick to your ideals, even when your mind tells you to go in a different direction." 'Ideals': a standard or principle to be aimed at. I often stick to my standards, even when I think I should do something differently? If I'm sticking to my standards, then I'm thinking of doing my standards. How can I think of sticking to my standards AND think of going in a different direction? I can't understand this question. Neutral answer. "You would rather work in a team than alone." That heavily depends on the other team members. Are they incompetent or not? Conditional.
"You always try to imagine the full picture before looking at individual facts." Both matter to me. A flying car sounds cool, but think of the air traffic implications. Neutral. "You cannot stand chaos." Not complete chaos. Some disorder is vital to mutations that can provide an evolutionary advantage. Answer is mild yes. "If the room is full, you stay closer to the walls, avoiding the center." That depends on the purpose of the room. Where can you sit down? Where is the food? Where is the entertainment? At the sides or in the middle? Seriously conditional. "You think that there is nothing wrong in bending or breaking some rules if the situation calls for that." Are we talking about laws, or being unorthodox? Conditional.
I'm willing to believe it. Negotiation has always been a strong suit of mine, and political correctness is natural to me. Though I do think my sarcasm gets in the way of my success sometimes >.>

        I don't need a personality test to tell me that I'm an arrogant -blam!-; I've already known that for a long time.

          INFP Variant: Turbulent Role: Diplomat Yeah, this seems right. I generally am guided almost exclusively by what I know is right, and tend to see the good in things and people before the bad. [Edit]: Thank you, OP for making this thread! I would not have considered taking a personality quiz, at least not seriously, but now that I have I feel as though I am understood, and am not alone in how I think and act. Having a website go through and explicitly state my strengths and weaknesses was not only helpful but absolutely necessary to me at my current stage in life. I'm bookmarking the results to that as a reminder of my abilities and inabilities. Thank you! [Edit Edit]: I took one of the other personality quizzes floating around this thread, and while numerically I scored differently, I got the same INFP outcome.

          • Seeing a lot of INTJ (I know these are not correct entirely because a person needs to be 100% honest). Makes me wonder how many aspies (fellow aspies, I'm not being derogatory) are on the forums.

                    Assertive INTJ under the Analyst role. I want to get others to try this. I'm going to quote the things that stood out to me.
INTJs tend to be quite resistant to conflicts, usually remaining rational and calm in an emotionally charged situation.

INTJs may appear lazy in situations that do not require them to flex their mental muscles. For instance, they may take risks and not study that hard at school, knowing that in all likelihood, they will be able to tackle the tests anyway.

They like to plan ahead and be prepared, imagining all the potential scenarios and consequences.

People with this personality type hate playing social games and putting comfort or social expectations above honesty and facts. INTJs tend to see these activities as pointless and irrational, preferring inconvenient truth over a comforting lie.

INTJ personalities loathe inefficiency and imperfection, trying very hard to iron out all the flaws and analyze all possibilities.

INTJs reach their conclusions very quickly and stick to them. Even though people with this personality type tend to be open-minded, they have little patience for things they consider illogical, e.g., decisions based on feelings, irrational stubbornness, emotional outbursts, etc. An INTJ is likely to believe that someone who behaves in this way is either very immature or irrational; consequently, they will have little respect for them.

INTJ personalities do not respect rules or regulations just because they are there; they need to be confident that those restrictions make sense. Consequently, INTJs strongly dislike environments that are built on blind obedience, traditions, or respect for authority. They are likely to challenge the status quo and clash with people who prefer stability and safety.

If an INTJ is upset, they will not need to tell everyone around them that they are upset – on the contrary, they will focus on identifying why they are upset and then coming up with a logical solution to their problems.

The mind of the INTJ personality is geared toward looking at conflict situations as logical puzzles worthy of analysis.

Paradoxically, someone with the INTJ personality is most likely to attract a romantic partner when they are not actually looking for one.
