Not exactly. "The dark army" --as some people are calling them-- is a mysterious alien species found in Destiny that we did not encounter in the beta. No one knows what they are or what they look like. All we know is that "Champion" of the darkness is either a strong general-type foe to kill on the battlefield OR it's a boss comparable to Sepiks Prime. Give or take. Maybe it's a final boss since it's worth roughly 50 gamerscore
Edit: I don't see why they'd call killing a player in iron banner or crucible as being a "dragon slayer"? And Guardians are made up of the Travelers Light. So why would another player be called a "champion of darkness" and not a "champion of light"? Think about it bro. You don't know what you're talking about. I'm just saying, don't act like you know 100% what it means.

Im just guessing what it is, because night wolf said it was a badass player, and it could mean a champion at defeating the darkness, and why it's called dragon slayer is probably because his armor will be named or related to dragons and only if you have that armor, will you be called a champion of the dark, and that could take for ever, also y it would be 50 gamer score, and btw none of destiny's achievements go below 20, and I asked him why and he said it's because, we take time of your life and we give you gamer score. oh, and if it was named champion of the light, that would mean you mastered all of what the traveler has to offer, and im pretty sure that won't be possible.

King, your answer blew me away. Where did you get that from? Is there a link to it?
